A set of portraits, with wild waves that depict the face from lines

These images were created with the „Drawing Bot V3“ and drawn with a fineliner pen (Pilot V5) on 300 x 400 mm paper.

For the pathfinding, I used the „Sketch Waves“ control and had it trace the edges of the source image. I think the pictures have a fascinating effect because the faces look as if they are emerging from a gust of wind. It’s amazing how the facial features form out of seemingly disconnected, curved lines.

In total, I made quite a few of these images. The two shown here even made it into picture frames on the walls of our apartment.
